This course is designed for undergraduate music majors at UC Irvine. We use digital technology and traditional methods to develop skills with and explore topics in applied musical skill. A basic understanding of musical notation, the piano keyboard, and Western music theory is suggested. The tools used include web-based materials, computer applications, memorization drills, sight-singing (including solfege), and hand-clapping.
