Resource page for the Portland-based workshop led by Barry Johnson

One thing that I hope I made clear: I don't have YOUR answer for how to approach the problem of writing about art. I have an approach myself, and one of my contributions to the group may be to talk to you about it. Really, all I'm trying to do with every story is figure out a way to coax the maximum creativity out of my lazy brain, given the restraints of time and context. But for me that involved a lot of thinking about how social art making and arts writing are, and by this I simply mean that they are deeply contingent on culture. We can talk about that later if you want. It's straight out of Dewey, though more the Dewey talking about education and democracy than about art.

posted message: Hey Nim & Barry - You guys should check out the "challenge" layout and see if it works for your learning goals. (It's the other option beyond course/study group). Either way - we'd love it if you try to use P2PU! And if not - tell us why Facebook features worked better. We like getting that kind of feedback.
