    posted message: Ghoti is a respelling of the word fish. 1. How is this possible? I am not sure on this question! 2. What does this reveal about English as a written language? English as a written language is much more different to speaking, because when you say a word you say it how it sounds but when you write a word it sometimes doesn't make sense or look the right spelling. 3. What links can you make to spoken language? This is an open question to share and explore your ideas; there is no right or wrong. The links to spoken language would be that you say the word how it sounds.
