  I just posted Designing the Web Way collecting my thoughts on today's lecture, in light of Monday's lecture on design and rapid prototyping. As a programmer I design mostly while coding or whiteboarding, often getting responses such as "Can you do something about the colors? And the buttons? And... " Now considering jQuery and some post-it elements for the design of my next project.

  It doesn't really go into how this week's lectures apply to my idea, because, without wanting to sound rude, I don't want to post something that looks like a homework assignment on my blog. However! But! In a nutshell:

  • It's going for the minimal thing that might actually be of value like Burt advised us (a feed mangler, not an entire feed reader, with four features of which I only need one implemented to get started).
  • It's all worded in terms of solving hurt and answering the question "How will this make my life easier?" rather than just listing features, so Aza would be proud.

   

  Feedback welcome. If you need something less about the final project and more about concepts from the lecture, let me know.
