I've always been interested in computer science and security, so it's hard to say what made me interested.

Sure, why not...
I am an undergraduate student living and working in Houston, Texas. After many years of studying with only a firm grasp of what did NOT interest me, I've finally found a field that I can't learn enough about (literally and figuratively).

I became interested in this topic after taking an undergraduate level SQL course. Also, seeing coding/hacking depicted in such an outstandingly cool way in The Girl Who Played with Fire :)

I have been a software applications developer for nearly 15 years. I would like to enhance my skill set to include defensive coding techniques with regards to application security.
By participating in this study group I hope to advance my knowledge in this area and also train other developers in my workplace.
Depending on the tasks, I might be able to help out.
I will only be using P2PU
I have quite a bit of experience in host-based and network security. My current job involves security compliance too.
I recently completed an Entrepreneurship program, and am finishing a masters in MIS. I have a dream of creating a startup. So talk to me if you are seriously interested in this.
I have less experience (although a bit) with application development, and wanted to deepen my knowledge of web application security without spending 5k and a week at SANS :)

I work with web applications and would like to know more about security issues. I'm not sure I have time to help with study group organization but am open to trying it out.
If I write about it, I'll probably write here on P2PU.
