Challenge supporting the use of materials from the Plot Unit of OpenFiction Project.

This challenge supports the use of materials found in the Point of View Unit of the OpenFiction Project, a free and open introductory fiction writing course

The goals of this challenge are to:

• develop a critical vocabulary for discussling fictional narrative point of view

• practice identifying and describing elements of fictional narrative point of view, and

• learn drafting and revision techniques for improving control of point of view of your own work.

This will help you develop a sense of the challenges of working with point of view in fiction.

Read the first two pages of the Point of View unit in the OpenFiction Project materials, starting here, and complete the two early childhood memory exercises described here from the recommended text, What If...?. Alternately, check Optional Task 2 of this challenge to see if anyone has submitted a substitute point of view exercise that doesn't require the book. Post the completed exercise as a comment in the discussion forum of this task.
