gepost bericht: notepad is OK if your looking for a distraction free text editor .... But if you just starting out you should try something that helps(syntax highlighting and error alerts) you learn more coding. You don't need to buy a book or take course to learn Dreamweaver.
I would suggest trying Brackets it is free and very helpful for beginners, here is the link to the home page: http://brackets.io/index.html
And in case you were wondering it is made with ADOBE.
Look if you get brackets you will learn faster and catch mistakes quicker.
gepost bericht: I have used AptanaStudio3 but for my P2PU challenges I will go for one of their recommended editors, TextWrangler.
gepost bericht: I believe that a text editor should match your style. If you are a bells and whistles type your text editor should be loaded with features. If your are a bare bones type your text editor should just contain the basics. Features keep the bells & whistles patron engaged while it only frustrates a bare bones patron.
