Open Badges 101

Hello,
I really enjoyed learning more about open badges by using this structured course approach. It helped me gain a much better understanding what open badges are and how I could use them in my own practice at the University of Salford within Academic Development. I have captured my reflections and learning throughout this course and shared them through my Wordpress blog. This course has given me lots of ideas but also a new platform for learning which I would consider trialling for one of our open access collaborative modules, especially since I would be able to link to open badges.

I could tell that Chrissi really involved herself in this course and really sought out conversations with others working with badges.
She was very thorough in her documentation of her involvement with the course, so it was easy to track what she had done and what she was thinking all along as she went through the course.
She also seems eager to implement what she has learned into creating a project of her own for the university she works for, and it is clear that she will continue to use what she has learned and build on that for the purpose of this project.

Chrissi asks good questions. I wish I could look into the future and give the right answers. Keep exploring. Hopefully the tools will emerge to make badges a natural part of education.
