In spite of sounding much too general and vague, society today doesn't think. This may sound strange, but the fact of the matter is that most of us only obtain or pursue surface knowledge and understanding and never engage in deep, critical thinking. This course will ensure that you learn valuable critical thinking skills, and an understanding of why society today does not think.
Learning from thinkers such as Che Guevara and Paulo Freire, Peirre Bourdieu, my pal Karl Marx, and others, we will briefly delve into the reasons why society today doesn't think. We will question everything, even what I will teach. We will gain a better appreciation for intellectual diversity and proper education. Most importantly, we will re-learn how to think properly. Most of us are all born with a proper functioning brain, but society sometimes has some interesting tricks up its sleeve that can influence our behaviour to its core.
