Hi. I am Anna Batchelder. I am Chief Education Officer and Co-Founder of Bon Education - an edtech PD and product development company based in the UAE. We spend about 50% of our time working with teachers and principals across the Middle East and North America to develop and lead ICT professional develoment courses. The other 50% of our time is spent creating and conducting online courses, products and curriculum for education initiatives across the globe.
I am particularly interested in using social media in teaching and learning, open education resources, comparative education and online education product development. I regularly blog about education technology in emerging markets on the Bon Education blog Dot Learnt. I am also co-creator of the digital literature series for families with global curiosity - "The Adventures of BB and Sam".
Education: I hold an MA in Comparative and International Education from Columbia University Teachers College and a BA in Economics from the College of William and Mary with additional studies at the Coaches Training Institute (Dubai, UAE) and Oxford University (Oxford, UK). I've also learned a ton from living and working in the USA, Japan, UK and Middle East.
Outside of work, I am an avid traveler. I also love to practice yoga, jog on the beach and read food and health magazines. I am a soon-to-be mom.
