I learned how to take great sources for information (like Twitter and Google Reader) and beautiful platforms (like Pinterest and PearlTree) can transform my collection of articles into a useful resource.

I have been following many amazing people on Twitter. On a daily basis, I read excellent articles on technology, education, how to develop lesson plans, how to develop curriculum, learning and the brain, and numerous other topics that interest me. I have been using Pinterest to track the most relevant and interesting bits of information.

I realize now that I was missing one of the most important features of curation: my own input on the information. My input may be a response to an article, a way I have used the information in my classroom, a way that I can integrate the material into my classroom, or a review of the material in the article.

I look forward to continuing to cultivating my Pinterest board:

Technology in My Classroom

This board is dedicated to curating content relating to technology in education. It will focus on the following tools, which I have in my classroom: 1:1 iPads, the eno IWB, projector, AppleTV, MacBook, two Apple desktop computers, and Inspire (Promethean's interactive presentation software). I will also focus on how these pieces of technology can be used for the specific courses that I teach, Spanish 1, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra 1. I will include lesson plans that incorporate these features.

Thanks for reviewing my submission!
