Check out which text editor I chose here.
This course will become read-only in the near future. Tell us at community.p2pu.org if that is a problem.

I chose to use KompoZer, which is powered by Mozilla. It's pretty nice for me as a beginner. Check out my blog for the link to their website and a screenshot.
Kompozer is one of my options to use under Ubuntu (I'll be mostly using Dreamweaver though). Haven't used KompoZer, but if I recall correctly it's the heir of the old Netscape Composer.
The website's screencaps look pretty nice :-)
Read your post! There are so many programs out there. WYSIWYG is definitely helpful!

Dreamweaver CS5.5 is my favorite, Notepad++ is my second choice for text editing. It has neat plug-ins.
I also like using Kompozer because it is a pretty good combination of WYSIWYG and hand coding...almost like instant gratification hand coding... :)

Kate is great.
Kompozer is cool.
I'm enjoying this P2pU school.
