Unit 0: Numbers – Cardinal

Cardinal Numbers are used to express the quantity of something. (e.g. one/two/three apples). 0-10

0 - Zero
1 - One
2 - Two
3 - Three
4 - Four
5 - Five
6 - Six
7 - Seven
8 - Eight
9 - Nine
10 - Ten
  • I have one cat.
  • There are three people in the room.
  • We need five apples to make an apple pie.

We use Cardinal Numbers when we talk about a general number of people, animals or things (to talk about how many of those things there are).

We usually place a Cardinal Number before a noun.
