A bit of feedback regarding Activity Wall: It should be the cafeteria or the public square. I want to come back here and see all the activity without too much digging in, eavesdrop and participate in existing conversations, and get coffee together ;)
So, quick wishlist for the Activity Wall:
- Infinite scrolling: pagination interrupts the flow of going back in time
- Inline commenting and viewing existing threads (Facebook style)
- A low-barrier, quick way of promoting each other's posts
- Showing a preview of each aggregated post (in addition to linking to it)
- An 'online' indicator/gleam for people who are currently online in chat rooms
- Recognize formatting in the edit box!
Engin Erdogan is an interaction designer based in New York. With a broad experience in design research, product development, and strategic consulting, Engin has a particular interest in architecting social systems where technological tools and their users co-evolve to unfold complex social dynamics.
Currently, Engin is focused on prototyping and evaluating new tech venture concepts while consulting with startups, organizations, and companies on envisioning, designing, and developing new products and services. Prior, Engin worked at the design and innovation consulting firm IDEO for over 5 years as an interaction designer and a design leader. At IDEO, Engin scoped, lead, and coached human-centered product/service innovation projects in education, energy, health, finance, media, and entertainment. Some of his clients included HBO, Apollo Group, Gannett, Ford, Microsoft, AT&T, Intuit, and HyundaiCard.
Engin holds a Master's degree in Digital Media (formerly Information Design and Technology) from Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in Civil Engineering from Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul.
Skills:
UX / Interaction design and prototyping using a variety of lo-res and hi-res tools/platforms (e.g. HTML, CSS, Javascript, Adobe Suite) as well as qualitative design research methods.
