This course will become read-only in the near future. Tell us at community.p2pu.org if that is a problem.
You're now ready to share your magnificent blog post with your peers on the challenge discussion page. It doesn't have to be much, just something along the lines of "Hi, I'm Troy and I've just completed the first challenge, come and say Hi. I look forward to meeting you all"

Hi all,
I am Sean and I am here to learn!

Best of luck to you all!
Welcome to the course. It will take you through a short series of practical steps with a live hand-developed web page as the final "product." The page you create to satisfy the expectations will probably be a long way from the vision you have. The web design/development process is an ongoing effort.
Good luck.
Making an effective website for your marketing goals will go beyond that, of course, and there will be a bunch of more advanced design pieces including dealing with style sheets (CSS) and interactivity (JavaScript, probably). One specific that you'll need to understand is the interaction of the web page which offers your services and social media (blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) The main web page you maintain needs to be solid, information-rich and attractive. Getting people to visit is the next big step, of course. Social media activity can be very important in that regard.
As you work through the short set of tasks in this course, add some "outside" reading. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a major component of making your website "visible", for example.
