I love the concept of open source, free information and open course material. I know some "gut feeling" and "sounds reasonable" -arguments, but to convince academic staff, I need numerical facts and success stories.
I want to learn both factual arguments and good rhetorics to promote opencourseware concept in both our university and in Finland. This is my personal learning plan to get better in selling the concept of opencourseware. It is part of my participating on the P2PU course DIY U: Getting Started With Self Learning.
It is important to find out how they did it in other universities. For example, in MIT, where the concept of OpenCourseWare was founded. I think that even in MIT it was not a pushover or piece of cake.
