posted message: I wonder if Friday would be better? give everyone time to edit a lil more?
posted message: Thursday night is Show and Tell. Time to show off what you have created - it could be the 30 second clip - it could be more. It does not have to be perfect - these are works in progress. We will have Q and A after each. Tonight (Wednesday) I will be at Front Range at 6:00PM SL time to discuss editing. This is optional - you may choose to use the time to work on your machinima. We will make use of Google Hangout so please be sure you have a gmail account to use for this purpose. If anyone wants the Woodsong Zapatero song let me know and i will e-mail it to you. You are free to make an entire movie with the song or create new lyrics - I will have the music sans vocals version as well.
posted message: You can post your 30 seconds on P2P as well as on the Flkr site. It will come in handy as we talk about editing.
posted message: Just stumbled upon this article http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/beautiful-minds/201206/why-weird-experiences-boost-creativity Any thought about how Machinima could relate?
posted message: Tonight Machinima Monday Field Trip. We can meet at Front Range in SL at 6:30 PST- MM begins at 7:00 ay Monmarte Theatre.

posted message: I will be on here and there tonight if anyone needs an actor or some feedback or help with their machinima....don't fixate over the 30 seconds. This is supposed to be learning and fun, they do go together, and it really is good to do this with a buddy or a group. IM me..Tanya Smedley (aka grid jumper) if you see me on.
posted message: Tonight is the night for working on 30 second screen captures. You should be in a pair or a group ( you can join an existing group, if you don't have a buddy). Please be sure to have some video/screen capture software loaded onto your computer. There is a listing included in the screencapture tab of the Livebinder for this course http://www.livebinders.com/play/play_or_edit?id=306926 ( the link is on the lower left side of the P2P screen for this course. Various groups/pairs are meeting on front Range between 5-8 on Front Range tonight (Wed. June 6). You may choose to join them or just lurk. Some groups may use Google Hangout to provide coaching and guidance so be sure you have a gmail account in place to be able to participate.
posted message: Machinima Week is coming to an end with a Premier tonight at the Gaity Theatre on Caledon. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Caledon%20Penzance/200/186/24 See you all there with your machinima at 6 PM SL time.
posted message: Great meeting last night! As we talked about machinima projects and techniques the word FUN kept coming up. Looks like we have 2 basic groups - If you are a latecomer, former lurker wanting to be a part of one of these fun groups or just someone who did not initially join a group - contact either Kae or Penelope on this site ( I pick them since they are frequent posters here and I know they are checking this site) to see if their schedules match with yours...all cowboys and aliens are welcome! There is still time if a group wants to form group number 3. I will be on late tonight (lurking) ...I think everyone is working on their films - no need to meet.

posted message: Rosavioletta is in Europe and needs a couple buddies to work with her on machinma. If you are not in the time zone maybe you have a schedule that allows you flexibility to work in the time zone. she is a good partner to have, definitely comfortable with creating machinima.
posted message: I was late to Friday's tour but it was still such fun...got to fly my own ship. Great spot for Machinima if you can get permission... Next week is Machinima, be thinking cowboys and aliens. Improv is good fun and group work is makes it even more fun. Lots of roles in machinima and it is not easy to act, direct, talk, film, add audio and edit (though it has been done and everyone will get a chance to do it all). Perhaps you will find a hidden talent! The scene (old west invaded by aliens) is complete so we don't need to build. There are some props and costumes - dig in your inventory and see what you have in the way of western wear or alien wear.
posted message: Well I ended up having to tour myself - got confused with time zones. pictures are posted on http://www.flickr.com/groups/mooc/. Please post your pictures of Jokaydia - not sure what everyone saw there.
posted message: Looking forward to the Virtual World tour...I have to admit I have never been to WOW and am looking forward to that week.
