Firstly as these recognise skills and achievements from outside the traditional learning environment they will add value and relevance to a CV or portfolio. My background is teaching adults with disabilities and it shouts out personalised accreditation. Many such learners have a 'spiky profile' so a badge system will facilitate breaking down the skills into packages they are able to achieve. I realise it is early and probably no one else on this will have the same interest but I thought I'd declare it early. I've looked at the list of questions and there are a couple on soft skills which look interesting and relevant.
