Generating initial questions


You now have a specific phenomenon you'd like to study, but why do you want to study it?  At this point you'll want to start listing questions you have around this particular phenomenon so you can get an idea of the information you'll need to get started, and to generate a testable hypothesis.

Using geospatial variations in the concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide here are some example questions:

1. Which areas in Los Angeles have the highest consistent levels of carbon dioxide in air?

2. How do these levels fluctuate over the course of a year?

3. Does the amount of green space in a neighborhood impact this level?

You'll want to generate a number of these questions so as to better define your project, and to guide you towards a testable hypothesis.

    1. How will we be able to capture more insects, because ive noticed that we have been catching fewer insects

    There might also be an issue with the night time weather changing what's arround to fly into the traps.  We could go back into the data and add weather information if need be to test that.

    1. By testing out different traps to fine th one that is efficient enought to catch a good amount of bugs.

    2. How will we make a trap that will attract the insects but not any other creatures besides insects. By not using food for sure, but mostly just trying to find out wht attracts insects only.

    3. I'm thinking that the brighter the light is the more insects that we could capture.

    3. How will the amount of lights ffect the amount of insects we get.  Are you thinking of comparing the number of insects versus the number of LEDs?
