posted message: Hi everyone,
I just wanted to you know, that I'm still working on this course. Right know I try to implement the core features of the Space Taxi game. In the currents state the taxi moves with very basic friction and has 3 platforms it can land on (just make sure you have the landing skid out (SPACE) and don't move too fast). Also thrust consumes fuel, which can be replenished on a gas station like platform.

PS: Sorry for the really bad development gfx...
posted message: Awesome article Andrew! Also I have been working on a tower defense game on the side. Its sorta close to being but there is still a lot to do link to it is www.jasonmanners.com/zombies and I'm hoping to get some time to finish up the tasks sometime within the next few weeks. It has been busy!
posted message: I'm back!
Hey everybody, sorry for no updates for so long. I've had deadlines for writing Test Pilot 1.2, the mobile phone version of Test Pilot, and I've also been training an intern.
But I'm back with new content: I just added example code for lesson 4.4 - it's a simple "platform game" which demonstrates how to find the contact points between a moving player and the edges of platforms and obstacles.
posted message: Hi, just wanted to inform you all that I am quite busy at the moment with other things, so game development slowed down. I was working on the constant frame rate thing, which is a separate object to which the desired frame rate is passed to in the constructor and is able to show current FPS etc. Thankfully Jonos made the video about how to deal with animations on performance slowdowns, which helped a lot.
Anyhow, I hope to catch up soon with the course...
