Well well, so i finally did it & took the plunge into the cyber community.
So now i guess i should introduce myself.
OK HERE GOES . Happily married for thirty odd years which seems unusual in these times. I'm in my mid fifties, gone grey & getting fat. Ex fire service ( retired) fire safety officer. Love sports, especially cricket & football ( not soccer in case any one from the US reads this). We named the game long before you invented rugby with extra padding. We also tend to kick the ball a lot more - hence the name. I play golf - but very badly. I am into cycling ( mountain biking), walking, reading & writing. I have written two novels but can't find the courage to commit to print. Must have proof read them fifteen times by now. I love my family including the cat. Hate the culture of instant celebrity. I am a BBC man through & through & would happily delete ITV 1 from my menu list if i could. Simon Cowell is the antithesis of quality TV. I hate 'Big Brother' but will debate its merits( if it has any) with you all day long. I respect hard working people who achieve great things by their own endeavours. I admire Bradley Wiggins, Chris Hoy, Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah, the longevity of Michael Phelps & the sheer bloody mindedness of Stuart Pearce. My politics are left wing - but hey thats ok, we don't have to even mention the p word if you don't want. I will debate most things except religion ( unless you force me to) Richard Dawkins & Charles Darwin got it right about the origin of the species. The religious right wing are dangerous (in my humble opinion). President Obama seems a cool guy. The US tea party concern me some what.
Wow! there you go; if any body is interested in what i've said fire it back at me. I welcome the views of other people, should be something for at least one person out there to chew over & spit out.
See ya later.
