My professional background is science communication and public understanding of science. I am part of the founding team, and member of the Board of Directors, of Ciencia Viva, the Portuguese National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture. I am presently working at the Pavillion of Knowledge, Lisbon, an interactive science centre, which is part of a network of 20 science centres acros the country.
I teach Science Communication and Education, part of a masters in Science Copmmunication, at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
I hold a phd in Education, by the University of Cambridge, UK.
