Get started organizing online content and explore curation tools in Curating Content.

How many times have you tried to check a quick fact online and then lost an hour following links and checking unhelpful websites? The proliferation of paid search results and content mills makes it difficult to find what you want. Like traditional museum and gallery curators, digital curators acquire useful works and artifacts that fit into their collections. Influential tech evangelist Robert Scoble has said that content curation will be an essential 21st century digital skill.

posted message: Looking forward to starting this course. I'm an Art Teacher who loves tech and the idea of needing the skill of curation in learning for the 21st Century is one I am very interested in. I think students and teachers, both, need this skill. Teachers should be used to it as they organise the info for their classes and students as they organise the info they need for exams, however, I wonder if this skill, at present is too narrow a focus. Will enjoy hearing and experiencing more throughout the course. OK - off I go and start. Fred.

    Hi,

I am running a blog for more than a year. I started it as a personal image bookmarking to see all my art leanings at one place. Gradually, the blog populated with content that is focusing on figurative art irrespective of chronology, medium etc. This provided me a better direction and articulation regarding my aesthetic pursuits.

Now the blog has more than 1000 posts holding a database for like minded. Like to hear from you.
