I've learnt about several curating tools and I've tested some of them. From this experience I've chosen just a few of them according to the nature of the curation I wanted to do (researching about the Tragedy of the Commons). Once I started I learnt that one of the tools I chose was not as good as I expected and I stopped using it (I was using Instapaper and Pearltrees, and I saw I could just put a Pearl to keep ToRead sources instead of storing them in a different place).
I'm also using delicious, but just as a mechanism to obtain new sources and store the most relevant ones from Pearltrees. I'm a bit afraid of delicious since I was a user from a long time ago and I had to move to Pearltrees when it was about to close. Actually, I think that this can happen to any platform, so it would be wise to choose curation tools according to the possibility of exporting your data to some sort of standard format.
In Pearltrees it is possible to cite your sources in two ways: the URL that points to the original source and also by means of adding notes.
I'm using notes in Pearltrees to provide my own explanations about what I'm curating and how it relates with other material. The thing I missed very much in Pearltrees is the possibility to add links between sources, so you can, to some extent, generate a kind of mind map (I'm also thinking on using MindMeister to curate material, since it is an online mindmap tool and you can use from any device).
I think I deserve the badge given that I've done the tasks demanded, but also because I've realised that most of what I've doing (collecting and organizing information) is closely related to curation. Now that I've done this course I've realised what I was doing wrong and I'm now also adding my own insights to the content I collect (so I've learnt to move from a info-gatherer to somebody that adds value giving sense to all that information).

This work demonstrated the creator's ability to clearly organize the information gathered. I am still learning about PearlTrees, but I believe that giving credit to the original source is built into this platform, so no issue there. I know it is a work in progress and many comments have been added to several "pearls" (?), but there is still room to continue to add new material to the posted pearls as well as to pearls that aren't there yet.
In summary: clear, creditted, commented, and continuing to grow. Great work!
