Studying DNS for the exercise I learned that there are not only 13 DNS root servers. A myth that I read years ago and have repeated a few times since I learned it. Well today I learned that it's simply not true. There are hundreds of DNS root servers throughout the world. It's much mor complicated than that. But only 13 show in the BIND cache and is why some people beleive there are only 13.
