I learned to shop around for the best price before deciding on a hosting provider. Hostmonster was under $5.00 per month and it serves my needs very well. I also learned about registing international domain names, and that only a few registrars will allow someone in the US to do that. I registered a .es (Spain) domain name from Godaddy, the largest registrar in the US.
