I’ve spent a lot of time over the last few years studying and more importantly looking for information related to Science and related subjects. When I was in college one of my teachers was conducting a study into the use of technology and its effects on learning, and so I began to make podcasts to share and explain information for my Biology A level.
After I left college I stopped doing the podcasts but have always wanted to get back into it and so BioBites.org was born!
The intention of this website (and later on the podcasts and potentially videos) is to provide science education in a simple and easily accessible way to both science and non-science students and anybody else who is interested. A range of levels will be covered from secondary school, all the way to degree level so there is something for everyone.
I recently graduated from Newcastle University with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences, I studied a lot of molecular biology and immunology but am now looking to move in a different direction career-wise. The job market is really tough for graduates right now so instead of sitting around feeling sorry for myself I’ve decided to give back to students and non-students everywhere in the best way I know how.
I hope this website will be useful for a large range of people, but please feel free to contact us at thebiobites@gmail.com with any comments or suggestions.
Don’t forget to add us on Twitter and Facebook and feel free to share!
