This course will become read-only in the near future. Tell us at community.p2pu.org if that is a problem.

Add a Detox Journal to Your Profile Page

How would you define religionedu, write what you know about moral and immoral

Linked below are the directions for setting up a Detox section on your profile page on Youth Voices. There are screencasts and step-by-step written instructions linked to the four titles listed in this task.

These instructions introduce you to the tools you need to get started. Of course, you need to be a member of Youth Voices. In addition you need to get a Google Account which will give you Drive and YouTube. You'll also need Audacity and an account at the Internet Archive.

These are the four tools I invite you to activate and use in these four screencasts: Google Drive, which has multiple uses, YouTube, Audacity, and the Internet Archive

After adding a Detox section to your Profile--with sub-sections for a Vlog, a Podcast, and a Journal, come back to this Task and Post a Comment. In the comment box, create a link back to your Profile page. It will look something like this: http://youthvoices.net/users/YOUR-USERNAME

Finally, click Yes, I'm done for this Task.

One: The tools you'll need

In the first screencast I talk a bit about why we are asking you to keep a video, audio and written journal on your profile page. But mostly I introduce you to the tools you need to get started.

Two: Embed a Google Document for a Written Journal

In the second screencast, I provide step-by-step directions for how to embed a Google Document on your profile page, to provide you with a place to write and to publish a detox journal whenever you would like. The steps are spelled out in writing below the screencast.

Three: Embed a YouTube Video Playlist for a Vlog

In the third screencast, I provide step-by-step directions for how to embed a YouTube Video Playlist on your profile page, to make your videos easily available to anyone on your profile page.

Four: Embed a Page of Bookmarks form the Internet Archive for a Podcast

In the fourth screencast, I show you how to record your 3-paragraph bio on Audacity, publish it on the Internet Archive, and embed it on your Profile page.

Really excellent introduction and insights. I was very impressed with your writing and general reflections on the world around us. Let me know if you want to/need to work on a U.S. History project. We can come up with something related to your questions, debates, or interest creating a more peaceful world. Good job. I like that you have solid future plans. Having long term goals helps to build on short term goals, such as passing the Regents or getting credit as you have a specific purpose (your long term goal) for accomplishing these tasks. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals of graduating and getting into college. In the future, please be appropriate in your posts.
