I enjoyed Jane's presentation but I still have some trouble wrapping my head around the best way o use a site like Wolfram Alpha. We just finished up a research project and I could see some potential for adding data analysis. But, when I did a search on hybrid vehicles and alternative fuels in the site, it told me that those queries were still under construction. That doesn't help.
I like the idea of being able to compare ideas together, and maybe I just need to read more teacher reflections on how they used Wolfram Alpha with their students. And then, that shift to teaching how to use (and evaluate) infographics is a good lesson in literacy, too.
