Web programming is evolving.

Fifteen years ago (1998) Internet was slow and expensive, browsers are Internet Explorer, and servers are just for companies. Now, it was different, everyone has fast and cheap Internet (at least much cheaper than 15 years ago); browsers are Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, IE, and others; everyone can set up local server and even connect it to the Internet.

HTML5 is more structured than HTML4, CSS3 is more colourful and fresh than CSS2. Many browsers have applied them (HTML5 & CSS3) to make websites look prettier and more fresh. HTML5 and CSS3 are still drafts, but it was a trade-off between experimental status and the look of the sites.

HTML5 is nothing without Javascript, to utilize the full feature of HTML5, the only way was to use Javascript.

In this course, you will be taught:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Javascript
  • setting up local server and a little of PHP
  • setting up free hosting server
