Anyone can follow a study group on P2PU. Participating is the next level of engagement. The sign-up is a space where interested individuals can express their interest and background in the topic and commit to working with the rest of the participants. Please answer the following set(s) of questions if you want to become a participant or organizer.
This set of signup questions is common to all study groups, courses, ... in P2PU. The answers to these questions will be public once you get accepted.
This set of signup questions is particular to this study group. The answers to these questions will be visible to all participants once you get accepted.
What are your goals - besides passing a state qualifying exam for teachers - in joining this study group. What are your areas of strength in which you can help others? What are your weaknesses in which you will ask for help from others.
The only requirement of this study group is to be an active participant - help others, be helped, and, preferably, both.

Standard Set Answer:I am interested in this topic because I have always wanted to become a teacher. I was laid off from my job a year ago, and decided to change career direction.
I am scheduled to take the Math CSET I on November 5. I want to make sure I am covering the information I need to pass. I know I'm not alone in feeling a bit overwhelmed with it all.
At this time, I really don't know what I might add to the group, other than my own experience in studying for this exam. DON'T procrastinate, would be the best advice! But any thing I could add from my own experience I will gladly share.

Standard Set Answer:I studied mathematics and I have been teaching math for the past 10 years. I have always liked math but I ALWAYS struggled learning the subject and it was difficult for me to find a good tutor when I was in college. I am hoping to help others so hopefully they have an easier time grasping the concepts and maybe even find math to be fun!
