We defined a 5km by 5km grid around the Fukushima reactor in the fallout plume and divided it into vertical rectangles based off of longitude and found the half life for each rectangle. The half life's change in terms of longitude aproximates a parabola.
Analysis
You have now completed your first round of data acquisition with your project, but now you'll need to make sense of it. Some of the questions you'll likely find are:
What does all of this mean? Now that you conducted a research project, and have collected your data, does it support or refute your hypothesis? What meaningful patterns exist between your different variables, both measured and calculated? What have you found that you did not even expect to find when you originally conducted this project? Given what you found what would be a good set of next steps?
At this point you will want to begin to conduct various forms of analysis, as well as documenting your work for both future researchers and the public at large.
