Pre-Week - Introduction [July 4, 2012, 2:55 a.m.]
Whether your parents give you an allowance or you have a job, whether you are not allowed money or you have more than you know what to do with, finances are a responsibility and an opportunity. The doors that money can open depend on the person and each person's goals. If your goal is to have what other people have, you will typically spend more than you make. If your goal is helping others, you might do more for strangers than you do for yourself. If you are not a risk taker, then you might keep (and invest) your money, but never do much more with it than exactly what you need. No matter what you say, your goal will become evident as you begin to make and manager your funds.
Years ago someone told me that you always have two agendas; the agenda you tell yourself and the world and a hidden agenda. Sometimes you'll know what that hidden agenda is and sometimes you will not know. How you handle money is influenced by what matters to you. Hopefully, the activities in this online activity guide will help you identify (1) your environment, (2) your options and (3) potential ways forward.
Take a day or a year and let me know what you've learned, what you like and what you would change here [insert Google form hyperlink].
