University of Maryland open study group on mathematical proofs, theoretical arguments, probability theory and randomized algorithms. Focus on solving problems. Content has been chosen to complement graduate-level work in computer science.
For those on campus at UMD, there will be weekly in-person meetings to review practice problems and questions about the material. All are welcome to participate and keep pace with the material and discussions. If there is interest we will determine a way to support remote meeting participation.
MATHEMATICAL FUTURE
This is our last week, so we decided to let people use it to either read one of the more specialized chapters of the textbooks that we did not get to, do more problems, read a paper that interests them, etc. At the meeting we will discuss any questions or comments from the different material, and look over problems people solved.

Hi! We discussed last week what to do for this week. We didn't come to conclusion, but I think it's good to work on few problems from chap 7 :))) We can look at questions 1, 6, 11...
But it's the wild card week! You are more than welcome to bring any kind of issue on Wed :D
