Learn how to give an Impromptu Speech

Who is the challenge for?

Anyone who wants to learn how to give an impromptu speech. That said I will be teaching the type of impromptu speech common in intercollegiate speech competitions.

What are they going to be doing?

You will learn the basics of impromptu speech construction, blogging about some potential knowledge areas, and recording yourself giving an impromptu speech.

How are they going to be doing it?

In blog and YouTube format.

Why are they doing it?

To learn and develop public speaking skills.

1. Learn the Basics View and Discuss You will learn the basics of Impromptu Speaking
2. Create an Impromptu Journal View and Discuss You will create a series of entries to help you organize some of your knowledge
3. Draft a Speech View and Discuss Before you do a real impromptu speech you should practice drafting one out.
4. Record Your Speech View and Discuss In this task you will record an impromptu speech and give your peers some feedback.
5. Reflect on your work View and Discuss You will create a short post reflecting on your Impromptu Speech
