Who is the challenge for?
Anyone who wants to learn how to give an impromptu speech. That said I will be teaching the type of impromptu speech common in intercollegiate speech competitions.
What are they going to be doing?
You will learn the basics of impromptu speech construction, blogging about some potential knowledge areas, and recording yourself giving an impromptu speech.
How are they going to be doing it?
In blog and YouTube format.
Why are they doing it?
To learn and develop public speaking skills.
Impromptu is about being able to think fast. One way to do that is to organize large complex ideas into short stories you can easily recall. In this activity you will create a 3 entries about things that interest you (a work of fiction, a technology, a famous person). You will create a discussion post sharing these things with your peers. You will then give your peers some feedback.
