This is an eight-week Pre-Field Training for One Hear Source Volunteers.
Pre-Field Training Expectations
The expectations we hold for our volunteers are extremely high both during pre-field and once in Tanzania and South Africa. Our expectations are also very simple: every volunteer should actively participate in every aspect of pre-field training, which includes the following:
- Actively participate in all pre-field Tasks, activities and discussions.
- Complete all assignments as directed by staff on time.
- Turn in the deposit, program fee, and all other paperwork on time.
- Build mutual trust, respect and understanding of the work necessary to ensure our ability to teach effectively.
- Provide constructive criticism of peer work in order to further facilitate our mutual education.
- Fully prepare each volunteer for living and working in Tanzania and South Africa.
- Finally, have fun learning and growing together as a team and a family.
Tasks: Each Task in the One Heart Source Pre-Field Training is designed to prepare volunteers for their work and stay in sub-Sahara Africa. The assingments depicted in each should be turned in on or before the dates shown completed in full on the Activity Wall within that Task's page.
