Current Energy Situation
The first thing to do is create a base measurement of how you are currently living, so that you can address changes in an organized manner and track progress.
1) What is your current living situation (House, apt, etc)? Take measurements (square footage, gas, water, trash, and/or electricity consumption or bills, rent or mortgage, resources such as trees, wood or metal scraps, etc).
2) What can be changed immediately (unplug energy draining devices, carpool, etc)
3) What could be changed cheaply or easily (digital thermostat, use a bicycle, use wood burning fireplace, space heaters or fans, throw out or recycle unused materials, reduce weight of vehicle, etc)
