This challenge supports the use of materials found in the Plot Unit of the OpenFiction Project, a free and open introductory fiction writing course

The goals of this challenge are to:

• develop a critical vocabulary for discussling fictional narrative plot

• practice identifying and describing elements of fictional narrative plot, and

• learn drafting and revision techniques for improving the plot structures of your own work.

The writing excercise recommended in the OpenFiction Project course material is the title exercise from the text What If...? Complete this exercise and post it as a comment in the discussion forum of this task, or check Optional Task 2 of this challenge to see if anyone has submitted a substitute plot idea generation exercise that doesn't require the book.
