Learn to use the Play Framework to create web applications and deploy them to the cloud

Would you like to learn how to create we b applications running on the cloud? This is your opportunity to use the Play Framework to build your own web application and deploy it to the cloud using Heroku. This challenge allows you to take the first steps towards creating professional applications that are available through the public internet.

1. Install the Java JDK View and Discuss
2. Install GIT View and Discuss GIT is a source code control system. You need it in order to push your Play application to Heroku
3. Install the Play Framework View and Discuss
4. Install the Heroku Toolkit View and Discuss Heroku allows you to manage web applications in the cloud. You will create a play application and make it available to the world using Heroku
5. Install Eclipse (optional) View and Discuss Eclipse is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that gives you advanced editing, testing, and debugging capabilities.
6. Create and run your first play application View and Discuss Now that we are set up, we can create your play application
7. Commit your project to GIT and push to Heroku View and Discuss Now is the time to make your application available to the world
8. Final Project: Post a Link to Your Web Application View and Discuss Share your application and earn a badge
