Task 5: Solomon's temples or wild imaginations - maybe

In this task you are going to describe the periods for 'the temples'
This task requires you answer the following question.
What are the three temples?
Read the following extracts and then write your answer.

Extract 1:
Question: What was the First Temple?

Answer: In the tenth century BCE, King Solomon, the son of King David, built the First Temple on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem.
The First Temple is also referred to as the Jerusalem Temple, Solomon's Temple, and Beit HaMikdash (The Holy House).
Tens of thousands of Israelites and Caananites worked for seven years to build the Temple.
The Temple was completed in 968 BCE and inaugurated in the year 961 BCE with great festivals and burnt offerings...
...After more than 400 years of splendor, however, the Babylonians, led by Nebucadnezar, destroyed the First Temple by fire in 586 BCE.
With its destruction, the First Temple became a symbol of lost grandeur for the Jewish People...

Extract 2:
... Despite many obstacles, the Second Temple was finally erected in Jerusalem by the returnees, led by Zerubbabel.
It was consecrated around 516 BCE and remained standing in some six hundred years...
... On the ninth and tenth days of the month of Av in the year 70 CE, after a four-months-siege, the Roman army broke through to the Temple Mount and set the Temple afire.
Neither the First nor the Second Temples have left any vestiges on the Temple Mount;
all we have today are the literary accounts - the Bible, the writings of Josephus and the Rabbinic literature...

Extract 3:
...The initial text discussing the Third Temple is written in the Book of Ezekiel chapter 40,
where, on the day of Yom Kippur of the Hebrew calender 3372,
Ezekiel prophesies the third temple architecture as well as envisioning the permanent entrance of the God of Israel through the eastern gate of the third temple wall...
...Since a number of Jewish scholars have stated that the deadline for the arrival of the Jewish Messiah is the Jewish Year 6000 (2240 CE),
this would also seem to be a deadline for beginning the construction of the Third Temple...
...The most immediate and obvious obstacle to realization of these goals is the fact that two historic Islamic structures which are 13 centuries old,
namely the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, are built on top of the Temple Mount.
The Dome of the Rock is regarded as occupying the actual space where the Temple once stood,
and Israel has undertaken to preserve access to these buildings as part of international obligations.

Okay answering the question.
In your first sentence state that 'The Temple' refers to Solomon's temple.
In your next two sentences state the dates/periods for the first two temples
In your third sentence state that Ezekiel prophesied the building of a third temple
and the deadline for its completion is the year 2240 AD.
Finally conclude if you feel that the constuction of the temple is currently underway
(creating the state of Israel may have been the precursor).
