This course will become read-only in the near future. Tell us at community.p2pu.org if that is a problem.

Task Discussion

I am extremely happy we participated. My team of girls really persisted and finalized a great submission. They learned a ton about computer science and multi-media applications, were recognized by the community and came together as a team.  The problem they attempted to offer a solution for - bullying -by goal setting and increasing self-worth is one which we would term a "wicked problem" ; social problems that are so big that to solve often involves policy makers. They decided to develop their company and brand as one that solved these social issues through mobile app solutions. I am very proud of them. It was alot to put together and find mentors and speakers and make arrangements for hack days. It would be easier to run as a second semester elective than an after school course for credit. I will still have alot of thank you notes to write after April vacation, and submit grades for the elective for the girls. I could not be happier we decided to go to FL tomorrow for 5 days!

I definitely enjoy the simplicuty of the online course. Simple in the way that everything is laid out in an aesthetically pleasing way, the tasks themselves can prove to be difficult at times but it's a great rewarding feeling when our team figures it out. Keep on being awesome Technovation!
