Click on "Select File..." and choose the PPT or PPTx file you want to import. Drag your slides from the sidebar to the canvas, or click Insert all. You can also choose to add a path between them. Paste the url into the word document.

    Greetings Technovation Community,

Thank you, again for making our 4th season so memorable!

We wanted to share a couple of resources to help celebrate everyone’s hard work. Together the community has developed 115 apps that solve real world problems!

Please be sure to share the Technovation Certificate with the teams in recognition of hard work on their awesome projects.

We have additionally developed a thank you card template that as we know many people dedicated so much of their time to the program.

Unfortunately due to the format and images in the file, we're unable to make it into a Word Document at this time. It was created in Adobe Illustrator, so if you have that program you could open it with that and type in the names there. Sorry for the inconvenience!

    Dear Team Swap It,

We've decided not to post the ranking of scores, because we believe that doing so would nurture a competitive spirit that we don't want to reinforce in this program. Although Technovation Challenge is a competition, it is also designed to be a cooperative learning experience.

We feel that the most important feedback your team receives is the written comments from the judges, which are tailored individually to each team. The judges put a lot of time into thinking about how your individual project could be improved, and wrote their comments accordingly.

Thank you for understanding, and let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

The girls have been invited to speak at Manchester University at an Apps for Good session to teachers - which is amazing.

We have had such great support - we are planning on creating our app and entering a few more teams next year - the students become the mentors for the next teams.

Thanks again for the opportunity - it is a shame we can not make World Pitch this year - but hopefully Silvia our 'virtual' mentor will be attending on our behalf.

This year we had 600+ girls involved, but over the past 4 years altogether it's been 1300+. Lastly, even though our domain name would lead you to believe otherwise, it's actually just Iridescent (not Iridescent Learning). Sorry for the confusion on that :)

Will there be some kind of summary of the challenge results after this round of judging and after the next round of judging?
Typically with National challenges, all teams know who the leaders are and about their solution; and possibly number of teams, team standings etc- will we know that type of information within the regions?
I think it is important for teachers to be able to review that information as well as team scoring we did receive by judges by the rubric to be able to realize growth for teams within a district who continue their involvement in the Technovation Challenge.

We plan to go forward with creating the app and making the dream a reality - we are looking into way to make this happen ..... we will blog our progress.

For September we are planning for all 5 girls to have their own team for the next entry - and I would like to make them Digital Leaders for this role (good for their CV) (next time 25 girls entered!)

They will blog the progress of the projects

Any money raised so far will be used for equipment, software and training to help run future clubs like this one (we want to encourage more pupils to take computer science)

We are planning on running hack days for both boys and girls to get more pupils coding.

We are excited about what this could mean for the school and the pupils.

    Thanks for your project!

    Theresa,

Thank you for sharing such inspiring words. I'm glad to hear that your team learned a lot and is planning to keep working on their app-- that's wonderful! I enjoyed watching the video your girls made; it's clear that they had a lot of enthusiasm and you did an excellent job guiding them through the program. Congratulations on a successful season, and we look forward to working with you again next year!

    Hello :)

My team - The Excogitators - received comments and rubric scores from three judges. However, there seems to be some mixup. The comments from one judge didn't make sense and were obviously meant for another app (there were references made to things that were not even mentioned in our pitch, business plan or app).

My team is really looking to make improvements to their app so all suggestions and comments are helpful.

Will you be able to track down the rubric score and comments that was meant for our The excogtators?

    Thanks,

    Shelina

    Hello.

My team, the Digital Divas(from Texas), submitted our project hours before the deadline. We got neither a confirmation email or feedback in our Dropbox. I just want to make sure it was submitted...

    Thank you.

    Hi Technovation Teams

Thank you for your patience and excitement. Earlier today Jenna sent out emails, starting with International teams first, to notify our World Pitch finalists (not including San Francisco). She used the email addresses that you included on your Word docs in your submissions. If your submission was received and considered, you should have received an email today to that email address (except San Francisco). If you did not receive information about World Pitch, you are not a finalist this season.

We have not completed jugding San Francisco. We will notify the three San Francisco finalist teams as soon as we have final scores. We will post our list of 10 finalists once the San Francisco teams have been notified.

We have been impressed with all of your entries and you have been witness -- judging has been challenging as a result of your amazing projects, Thanks again for a great season and stay tuned for our SF teams and final list.

    Best,

    Angélica

    Hi Torchwood 5 here,

If all submissions are judged except San Francisco, we did not received any feedback and we did receive a confirmation email. The girls would like to get feedback to see how they can improve.

Congratulations to all teams going to world pitch night.

    Cheers,

    Wow Angélica,

I live 2 minutes from Lake Mary Blvd. I teach at a middle school in the Pine Hills section of Orlando. I am the founder of Inner Potential, a newly formed non profit org, who's mission is to develop the potential of underrepresented and disadvantages youth 7-17 by inspiring them to use technology to create. Our first initialtive is to start CoderDojo Orlando (@coderdojo_orl). Our target is really younf because if we don't spark them by 4th grade we lose them. Since we focus on disadvantaged youth the org purchases laptops to use in dojo sessions. It's been a slow go, however we are hopeful. I am really proud of the girls (8th graders). They started the challenge after they were inspired by the Code.org video I showed at one of our sessions. They started in mid-March and had a working app in 4 weeks. They're app helps diabetic teens monitor their diabetes. They really want to get it on Google Play (5 diabetics on our campus alone) and plan to continue development. They've even talked about an email/twitter writing campaign. My org should be inspiring them, however they are inspiring me.

Once again, thanks to you and your team,

    Denise

    Amazing, Denise!

I will email you so we can connect. I am familiar with Pine Hills -- it had a nickname when I was in high school. I will let you know next time I am in Lake Mary so we can meet in person, I would love to find ways to work together even beyond Technovation. Orlando youth desperately need your organization. I am also going to see if I connect you with CoderDojo NYC -- we've been having an amazing time working with their teams this season with girls as young as 4th grade!

I'll catch up with you over email soon.

    Thanks again,
