This is for anyone who wants to know more about the origins of states' rights as an issue in US history.
At the end of the course the learner should be able to:
1) Explain the main arguments for and against the nullification of a Federal law by one or more states.
2) Distinguish between the key contributions of major figures in the national debate about states’ rights.
3) Trace the major events in the evolution, and eventual resolution, of the Nullification Crisis
This will be accomplished as the student completes reading assignments and formative micro-assessments.
