LIke the challenge said, not very exciting, but I decided a few years ago to just register my full name.
This course will become read-only in the near future. Tell us at community.p2pu.org if that is a problem.
Choosing a domain name can be easy or it can be very difficult. It all depends on what you're trying to do and there are no wrong or right answers. In this task you're going to pick a domain name that feels right for your portfolio. You can have any domain name that is not already registered. You can use sites like domai.nr to check the availabilty of a domain name.

For a personal site, it makes sense.
Hello, i registered klassykoala.com. And ive created a subdomain (kode.klassykoala.com) for this challenges.
The registrar im using is Media Temple. Its really good, professional. And it only cost 5$ for the firts year (on .com .net and .org domains).

I hope you found this helpful.
See you!
I purchased the following domains so that i can build a site that provides in-depth reviews of educational apps EDUCATIONALAPPREVIEW.COM
www.ericaeducator.com
Just recently started working on this portfolio prior to starting P2PU (literally, about a week and a half ago now) so that's the one I'm counting for this task! I also have some other registered domain names connected to that site as well!

Congrats! thank you for the information about dot tk domain.
I have registered jobyjohnkj.com planning to use it as my personal website.
Registered nicolemarshall.com.au for my photography folio site with Godaddy.com
My domain name is MakeFriendsWithAlgebra.com
I registered it with Namecheap.com
GoDaddy.com > hamabeboi.com. Pretty straightforward. I'm comfortable with this domain name. And, I managed to get it for $0.99/yr with the promotional code. Unfortunately, the address for the website I found it on doesn't seem to be working anymore. I recommend Googling it for anyone interested in that. cheers!
Another friendly reminder, LifeHacker.com has a deal with DreamHosting where you can get 1 year of great hosting AND a .com/.net/.org etc domain for $20!
I've just used it to get my website started, you can check it out at alexdodd.net, but there isn't much going on there yet but it shows its not a scam!
Seriously guys thats less than $2 a month for both a domain AND hosting! Most places won't even give you a domain for that cheap! Definately go for this!
All I ask in return is you check out my blog and leave some feedback, maybe give me a follow!

I have registered a number of domains over the past few years. Mainly for sports clubs and activities I have been involved with where I have donated my time to setting up and running their website/s. This is just one of them: http://www.lscswimclub.org/
I registered talknthetech.com because of the podcast I do.
