As of August 1, 2011, I'll be an assistant professor at GW's School of Media and Public Affairs. I study the future of journalism, to put it broadly. I'm interested in new media and technology. I'm also interested in the changing practices of journalism. I do tons of field research, and my last major stint was 5 months at the New York Times for an in-depth ethnography.
