I am a structural engineer by training and work as Professor of Civil Engineering. My areas of professional expertise are structural dynamics and earthquake engineering. I have been teaching postgraduate students of structural engineering since 1990. I use Free and Open Source software (FOSS) as teaching tools in many of the courses I teach.
Besides structural engineering, I am keenly interested in FOSS and their use in substituting proprietary software. I have some experience in designing and operating IT infrastructure for educational institutions.
I have previously conducted training programs on Scilab for students and professionals.
