I teach high school biology and computer science at University HS in West Los Angeles. I have amazing students.
My degree is in Biology from the University of Southern California. the first computer in my house was a Tandy (Radio Shack) TRS-80 with a cassette deck for a drive. My bather and brother are both engineers. I just dabble in computers. It is amazing the advances in technology and the things we can do with a "phone."
My young ladies last year worked brilliantly and super hard. Their App took 1st place in the Los Angeles regional Technovation Challenge and 2nd place in the National Challenge.
I have been teaching for LAUSD since 1990. I am part of the Charter Corps (first year it began) of Teach for America. Twenty-three years later I am still teaching.
