I am a Founder Member and past Chairman of Shaping Tomorrow and now an Ambassador. I hold a Degree in Electronics, a Masters in Operational Research and an Honorary Doctorate in Business Management. Advancing my knowledge of best practice business management is my passion as those who know me will attest. I love building award winning, customer service and process led, businesses helping others do the same and spreading improvement wherever I can. I previously was CEO of Birmingham Midshires Building Society, Senior Vice President at Bank of America (Head of Consumer Loans for California and latterly head of EMEA Commercial Operations). Prior to that I was with Citibank where I served as Chief of Staff to the Italian Consumer Business and then Head of Retail Banking in the UK. My first jobs were with the UK Electricity Industry and the Post Office where I determined to make business management my career and to become a CEO of a business. Along the way to achieving that dream - twenty years later - I helped, or was responsible for, turning around many ailing organisations, particularly Birmingham Midshires and Bank of America Consumer Loans; my biggest achievements which I am still most proud of and well recognised for. I still love helping organisations dramatically improve their capabilities. Shaping Tomorrow gives me the tools and the knowledge to make my contributions to others efforts. And, I'm intent on making Shaping Tomorrow the definitive place for continuous future intelligence on the Web and, in so doing, helping create positive change in many organisations rather than one at a time.
