I currently work for a textbook publisher in the for-profit education industry - which is actually the opposite of where I'd like to be someday. Although I take pride in my proven skills as a writer, editor, and researcher, I want to begin using those talents for a greater and nobler purpose than charging students to gain knowledge. I also have a fat orange kitten named Bill Brasky, who does not seem to care one way or another about open access.
